Peter Shanley is a values-driven leader with over 25 years of experience in corporate strategy, finance, operations, talent management, sales, and project management. Peter enjoys tackling complex challenges, driving growth, and enabling profitability across diverse industries, including life sciences, technology, and consulting. As the Chief Operating Officer at Locust Walk, Peter supports corporate growth strategy, leads operational excellence, and ensures compliance and financial accuracy. In this role, he ensures overall financial health and profitability, while leading key functions such as finance, people, culture, IT, marketing and business development.

Prior to BioLabs, Peter was the CFO at LabCentral and COO at BioLabs, where he played roles in preparing the organization for growth by expanding sites, offerings, and capabilities. He ensured operational effectiveness, financial accuracy and reporting while fostering an environment that supported high-potential life sciences and biotech start-ups. He also served as CFO & COO at Racepoint Global, where he restored financial stability and compliance after a decade of internal fraud and theft, implemented a recovery plan, and secured capital investment to drive growth. Spanning nearly two decades at Publicis.Sapient, Peter held various leadership roles, including Global Integration Lead, CFO & COO of SapientRazorfish, and CFO of SapientNitro. He led major organizational transformations, improved financial accuracy, enhanced workforce planning, and executed successful mergers and acquisitions.

Peter also serves on the Board of Directors for Vitalwave, a technology solutions provider for developing countries. He holds a B.A. in Economics from Tufts University.
