We seek candidates who bring at least one year of analyst experience in life science transactions, consulting, or corporate development, coupled with a strong academic foundation in science. - Proven Experience: 12+ months in an analyst role within life sciences, investment banking, or consulting.
- Scientific Acumen: A degree in a life science discipline and the ability to translate

What you’ll do:
- Drive execution of strategic transactions, including partnerships, M&A, and financings.
- Prepare marketing materials, valuations, and deal models.
- Collaborate directly with clients and senior leadership on high-impact projects.

What to expect during the interview process:
Initial Screen
- Conducted by Talent Management.
- Focus: cultural fit, alignment with Locust Walk values, and basic technical skills.
- Format: video call.
First Round Interviews
- Interviews with members of the deal team.
- Focus: technical and behavioral competencies, including strategic thinking, analytical skills, and communication.
- Expect questions like:
- Pitch yourself and why Locust Walk interests you.
- Discuss your experience with financial modeling and life sciences strategy.
Second Round Interviews
- Additional interviews with senior team members (VP+).
- Emphasis on leadership potential, teaming style, and emotional intelligence.
- Tandem interviews may occur for deeper evaluation.
Case Study Assignment
- Candidates receive a real-world scenario and have 5 business days to prepare.
- Presentation: 1-hour session with multiple team members (in person or via Teams).
- Purpose: assess strategic thinking, analytical rigor, and communication under pressure.
Final Interview & Debrief
- In-person or video interview with senior leadership (often same day as case study).
- Comprehensive evaluation of technical skills, cultural alignment, and growth mindset.
- Followed by scoring and reference checks before offer decision.
