Meet Our Deal Professionals
Kiara joined Locust Walk in 2018 and is an analyst in the San Francisco office. While in school, Kiara accumulated research experience at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania Laboratory of Structural, Physiological and Functional Imaging studying bone strength and spinal deformities in patients with osteoporosis. Her research was focused on the development of bone-on-a-chip technology using 3D printing of biomaterials to create patient specific microchips or drug testing. Prior to this, she interned as a research assistant at the University of Pennsylvania BioBehavioral Health Sciences Department studying chemotherapy induced nausea and vomiting through the neural pathway of cisplatin.
While at the University of Pennsylvania, Kiara was an active member of the Wharton Undergraduate Healthcare Club and held positions in a variety of community service organizations.
Kiara holds a B.A. in Chemistry with minors in Biological Basis of Behavior and Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania.
She is fluent in English and Portuguese. Outside of Locust Walk, Kiara enjoys traveling, photography and cooking.
