Anish, a graduate of the Johns Hopkins University, holds a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from the School of Arts and Sciences, as well as a minor in Business from the Center for Leadership Education. During his freshman year, he co-founded Aquatas, a social impact venture with a goal of developing an affordable water purification system for low-income individuals around the world. In his role as Chief Financial Officer, Anish led the venture’s business development team in creating a sustainable business model and securing funding from grants and investors from the greater Baltimore community. His contributions led to the development of a proof-of-concept device that has been tested in international pilot studies in water scarce communities around the globe.

Prior to joining the team full time, Anish was a summer intern at Gilead Sciences. At Gilead, his work primarily focused on supporting the Clinical Quality Assurance division in coordinating with Gilead’s manufacturing partners to ensure safe and industry standard production of therapeutics entering clinical trials. Through this experience, Anish gained broad exposure to the biopharmaceutical industry, learning the workflows of therapeutic manufacturing and clinical implementation of drug products in the FDA approval process.

Outside of Locust Walk, Anish enjoys basketball, football, cooking classic Italian dishes, and traveling the world.
