Meet Our Deal Professionals
Maya graduated cum laude with distinction from Duke University in May 2020, where she completed a B.S. in Biology with minors in French and Global Health. Her senior thesis explored social determinants of child undernutrition in a rural Honduran community where she conducted primary research in 2018.
Maya interned at the Duke-Margolis Center for Health Policy in 2019, where she supported the global team on projects spanning India, sub-Saharan Africa, China, and Singapore. Through her internship, Maya co-authored a post on the blog of the Center of Strategic and International Studies exploring consequences of Narendra Modi’s reelection on partnership opportunities with Indian state governments.
Maya also brings laboratory research experience from her work with the Feng lab of the Duke University School of Medicine Department of OBGYN. Her research explored localization of brain-derived neurotrophic factor in human placenta.
Maya is a native of Miami, Florida and enjoys cycling, weightlifting, cooking, and running in her free time.
She is a FINRA registered representative and holds her Series 79 and 63 licenses.
