Yen Ting Chen joined Locust Walk in May, 2019 and brings experience in finance, consulting, and drug discovery to the team. Prior to Locust Walk, Yen Ting worked at Credit Suisse as an equity research analyst covering the Japanese biotechnology and generics sectors, and at the Boston Consulting Group as an analyst in the Health Care practice area focusing on R&D and business development-related topics for clients in the biopharmaceutical sector.

Yen Ting began his professional career as a medicinal chemist at the Scripps Research Institute, Florida, and worked on drug discovery programs in various disease areas including alcohol addiction, Chagas’ disease, SARS, and glaucoma. In his scientific career, Yen Ting is the co-author of over 20 papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals and over 5 international patent applications.  Yen Ting received his PhD in Organic Chemistry from Brown University and his AB in Chemistry from Princeton University.

Outside of work, Yen Ting devotes time to be with family and tries to stay fit so he can be ready for father-and-son athletic activities in the imminent future.
