- Proven Experience: 3+ years in consulting, investment banking, or biopharma corporate development.
- Scientific Expertise: Degree in life sciences; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.

- Leadership & Communication: Skilled at managing teams, presenting to boards,

What you’ll do:
- Lead client engagements across strategic consulting, business development, and
capital markets. - Drive execution of transactions from valuation and modeling to negotiations and
due diligence. - Collaborate with senior leadership and clients to deliver actionable insights and
impactful outcomes. - Contribute to practice development through thought leadership and market
analytics.

What to expect during the interview process:
Initial Screen
- Conducted by Talent Management.
- Focus: cultural fit, motivation for the role, and alignment with Locust Walk values.
- Format: video call.
First Round Interviews
- Interviews with members of the deal team.
- Focus: technical and behavioral competencies, including strategic thinking, leadership potential, and emotional intelligence.
- Sample questions:
o What do you know about Locust Walk and why does this role interest you?
o Walk me through one of your favorite projects and your role in it.
o How do you manage projects and give feedback on small teams?
Second Round Interviews
- Additional interviews with senior team members (VP+).
- Emphasis on leadership style, teaming, and ability to manage complex transactions.
- Tandem interviews may occur for deeper evaluation.
Case Study Assignment
- Candidates receive a real-world scenario and have 5 business days to prepare.
- Presentation: 1-hour session with multiple team members (in person or via Teams).
- Purpose: assess strategic thinking, deal execution skills, and communication under pressure.
Final Interview & Debrief
- In-person or video interview with senior leadership (often same day as case study).
- Comprehensive evaluation of technical skills, cultural alignment, and growth mindset.
- Followed by scoring and reference checks before offer decision.
