Overview
A grounded case for biotech, in one room
The BioCapital LP Forum, co-hosted by Locust Walk, HSBC Innovation Banking, Arnold & Porter, is an invite-only, one-day gathering of family offices and institutional LPs on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at the MassBioHub in Cambridge, Ma. The Forum will bring together senior decision-makers shaping biotech capital for a grounded look at where opportunity exists across the ecosystem, from funds and direct investments to NewCo formation, and the relationships that make these opportunities investable.
As capital crowds into technology and AI, many life-science companies trade at valuations that ignore the pace of the science, and the Forum makes the case for why now: biopharma M&A just hit a record ~$80B in a single quarter, even as dozens of biotechs still trade below cash. Strategic demand is real, and the entry point is attractive.
